Just Walking...See?

This is our Sunday after-church mode. Right before I spent an hour sitting here at the computer trying to figure this out. And right before the baby decided to have a bap-fest with the mouse and the keyboard and did something. I'm not sure what, but I think I've managed to undo most of it. I think. I hope. For everyone who has heard about our new biped, you can see her in action. There have been several other attempts to catch this elusive mammal in her natural environment, but she is wary of cameras and will revert to crawling when suspicious of recording devices. :D Doesn't she sort of walk like a velociraptor from Jurassic Park? Without the gross toenails.

I don't know why the video is so dark! It wasn't that dark on the camera, or when we shot it. Sheesh! Tips anyone?

Oscar material for sure...you might think it looks dark but all your mom and I saw was radiant sunshine, well, through our tears...

How beautiful! We have watched this several times. I downloaded to realplayer so it fills the screen and we watched it with Dan and Cindy when they came over. :D Awe.... She is so precious, and big brother is looking out for her safety too. :) What a good big brother you are, Ian! Gramma and Papaw are very proud. Sorry we missed your call last night. :(

I love modern technology...we get to see the kids in action even when you are so far away.
Miss you guys :-)

Uh oh, look out! Now you have to lock all the doors and hide the car keys, cause the kid is on the move!

If it will help you technically at all, home video can be very harsh. They look great when you are taking them but what you see and what the photo cell see are two different things. It takes really good lighting, even when the curtains are open. Every light in the house on helps and sometimes dedicated spot lighting. The best videos on a DV camera will always be taken outside. There is a feature on most cameras today that have a little moon icon. That is your poor lighting display. It automatically brightens all video you take and is a must for indoor or fluorescent lighting. The down side for me is I always forget to turn it off when I take outside movies, and then all you can see is a white blur. The next option is to get away from DV and go with a $3,000 camera that makes it's own adjustment for things like that.

Your manual should give you help on how to get to the 'moon' feature. If you still need help, send me your brand of camera and I'll help you through it from there.

Our kids stuff is too precious to not be able to see every detail!
